Hey guys! I will get right into it I am currently a senior EUC technician (basically tier 2 help desk but more focused on project work). I started as an apprentice with no prior it knowledge last year and have clawed my way up over the last year. I have been recently really involved with hiring for our team and I have designed our apprentice program to be entirely online. At this point I have trained over half our team. My manager recently reached out to me and suggested I should apply for the open team lead position, I would manage a team of 10 technicians. My issue is that I am planning to move end of July to a new province . I will be trying to keep my job remotely if possible but my company as a whole is against remote work (even though we have been doing it for over a year now) should I take this job opportunity even if I know I will be moving shortly? Or will I be screwing over the team that has given me so many opportunities? Do you think there is a better chance they will keep me if I am a team lead?
