2021.07.24 19:08 morphius183 Editing help
Hi there, I’m trying to edit an existing Hollywood movie (passengers). My plan is to re-arrange it and overall just change quite a few things about the movie through editing. My main roadblock so far is that I have no idea how to download the movie ‘passengers’ so that I can bring it into Adobe premier pro.
Please please help.

2021.07.24 19:08 GODSandSHITHEADS The reality I've learned from starting residential service in my own van for a company (Trigger warning: sales)
Trigger warning: talking about sales.
Two months ago, I started in my own van for the first time, doing residential maintenance and service calls (I have two years in the field). Being in the service department is colossally different than installation, but I've adapted very quickly. At my company specifically, I get a 5% commission on any parts I put in the system. If I recommend a capacitopump/contactor replacement, and they approve it, I get commission for it. Same with larger components like motors, blower wheels, coils, TXV's etc.
So my company charged $115 to come out and hook our gauges up, check the caps, flush out the drain, change filter, etc. So, so many times, I have said "No issues found here". That sounds great to a customer, but I did not feel like I was actually doing my job.
Maybe I go to someones house and they have a 10 year old system, all factory installed parts. The caps would read good, the condensate pump worked, and the condenser coil was a little dirty, but eh, nothing serious. I would charge the $115, and walk away. That, there, is not profitable. Universally, at any company, you will be treated differently depending on whether you are a profitable or not.
I've changed my mindset a little bit in the past two weeks. Now, in that same scenario, I would tell a customer that we should replace the dual cap and condensate pump, get that condenser coil cleaned. Why? Because the parts are failure points at a certain age, and I want to keep their system at it's proper efficiency. Caps last generally 7 years. I don't care how they read if they 10 years old, I replace enough of these things on service calls to know that it could fail at literally any second and be a call back from a maintenance. Condensate pumps fail too, so do contactors.
So that same customer that I walked away with $115 from, I would get the cap (189), pump (189), and the coil cleaning (155). Now I walk away with $600 from them because I offered a bundle for three together. Rinse and repeat sometimes a couple times a day, multiple days a week. AND, less likely for a pissed off customer on a service call for a capacitor after they just paid for maintenance.
Or I would suggest a 30 minute miscellaneous repair (95) to get all wires off of the case of the unit and replace armaflex, or a 15 minute repair to tie the condensate pump float switch into the stat wire because it was not done on install. These are all repairs that I can honestly suggest to a homeowner, because my job on a maintenance is to make sure the little rinky-dink components don't shit the bed after I leave, and that their system is operating efficiently. I'm now actually doing my job instead of just clearing my schedule because I wanna go home.
Also, maybe that same customer is weird. Let's be honest, homeowners can be wildly inappropriate, emotional, or invasive and annoying. So maybe the blower cap read a little weak, "eh this guy is weird I'm not gonna bother". You can't let your own emotions get in the way of making those sales. Your job is to tell them a price for a service, and the weirder the customer, the better you get.
I made this change in my day to day behavior, and my one week sales went from ~$1,400 a week to ~$8,000 two weeks in a row. My manager noticed this immediately, and gave me a raise after having this basic conversation with him.
The reality of residential service is that it's generally less profitable that install, but only because technicians do not want to do sales. Unfortunately, I like sales, so this is easy for me. But if you plan on joining service, next in line behind being a good diagnostician, you have to sell something, otherwise your company will get annoyed when you screw up because you only run a 1% profit margin. Saying "sales in not my job" is a great way to have management on your ass all the time.
Even in these short two weeks, I get so much more leniency with smaller shit like going to a supply house to buy more contactors/caps/pumps. Why? Because they know I'll sell it, and they just greenlight me. I may be at a maintenance for an hour and a half, and they don't call me wondering what the hell is going on. Why? Because they know I'm making a sale. Residential service requires a salesman in most cases to be profitable. Not everyone has this natural ability with people, so many struggle with the sales end, and that in turn makes management more likely to choke you out when you cost them money in a callback or a mechanical/diagnostic mistake. Just think about being profitable.
I'm not suggesting to be a piece of shit, either. This, here, is what I would say is the minimum if you want to have true success in residential service.

2021.07.24 19:08 weshall89 Isle of Man Shopping Advice for First Time UK Buyer
Hi everyone, bit of a newbie post as I'm needing some advice after relocating to the UK (Isle of Man specifically). Wanting to join the local club here but really like the idea of having my gear first (like I did back in South Africa).
Previously I did own my own kit back in South Africa but had to sell upon relocating and I'm needing some advice on buying an AEG (previously did have a kitted out G&G Combat Machine and a NBB cheapie green gas pistol). The powers that be (the wife) have allowed roughly £150 so I'm thinking maybe to just sink it all into a G36 clone (as I'm a bit tired of the AR15 platform) but unsure what might be the best places to get from in the UK.
I was thinking of THIS but unsure as I also saw the same thing for cheaper from a Polish site here and was thinking I could then at least get some extra gear (spare mag, charger and maybe even a side arm), but unsure of the site and also how Brexit might have affected such things (and god knows about shipping to Isle of Man).
So can anyone advise on where might be the best value for money for shipping to IOM?

If you are a fan of Elder Scrolls, there is a large chance that you know of the tragedy of Lamae Beolfag. ACT II focuses on this character but it can be quite easy to not completely understand what happened at Windhelm. This episode focuses on that story and explains what happened.

2021.07.24 19:08 SlappaDaBayssMon We need a way to get back to our bodies if we DC in a region with no spawns
I've had multiple partisan missions ruined this weekend because I dc'd, got dumped back to Home Island and then I can't get back to my body because it's in Fisherman's or Westgate and we have no spawns there.
Just last night I dcd in Fisherman's, had to respawn in Oarbreaker, gather new gear, hammer a new boat, and after about 15 mins I finally catch up with the squad just to dc all over again.
Incredibly frustrating, please give us an option to get back to our sleepers that aren't in a controlled region.

This is what i have built based on the factory planner
according to the factory planner i should have to make additional thermofluid for all the processes
