Need Advice for Interviews and Job Offers...

2021.12.01 16:37 SunnyD132 Need Advice for Interviews and Job Offers...

I have recently done many interviews (both initial and follow up) and I did get an offer today from one of them. My issue is that this is the first offer I have recieved and when I asked for a little time to think if over they mentioned they would like me to accept it within a few days. I am still waiting to hear back from others I have done and I dont feel comfortable blindly accepting before I hear back. Some of the others I am waiting on are also some of my top choices, but they might not happen whereas I have this offer already. Any advice helps.

All three movies are on netflix, and I feel like the Berserk trilogy could really change their opinion on anime. It’s geared towards an older demographic, so there’s no yelling out moves or drawn out fights. The story is genuinely one of the greatest told on any medium.

2021.12.01 16:37 GolemThe3rd Amp Advice for Sennheiser PC38X?

I just the Sennheiser PC38X, and they sound great, but I need advice in terms of an amp. I've never really used an amp before, but I thought I should try it out to see if it really helps. The FiiO A1's seemed like a good test to me. Would this be a good choice for the headset? Would you say the difference is noticeable enough to warrant the cost, or should I go with a different amp in the same budget?

2021.12.01 16:37 MsLaMancha Summoning King Paimon

I wrote this as a comment in response to someone else's post but decided to share as its own post in case anyone found it helpful. Just sharing what my experience was like when I began working with King Paimon.
Story time!
My experience with King Paimon was interesting. I summoned Duke Dantalion first and then decided I wanted to work with King Paimon after because he was more coercive.
I summoned him in the middle of the day, had an altar with concecrated items for him and his 2 companions (3 pieces of chocolate and 3 sandalwood incense sticks). I drew his sigil with green sharpie (his preferred color). I wrote on one side of the sigil vertically what my requests were and on the other side I wrote what my offerings were in return. I sat facing Northwest with a silver ring on my left hand. I meditated chanting his enn and staring at the sigil.
I don't know how long I did that for, but I stared at the sigil to a point where I felt sudden chills down my spine. Immediately after I felt the chills, a group of roaring Harleys rode by my street. It had been totally silent before that and the loud roars startled me something serious! I felt a little intimidated right then because I had a deep sense that he had made an entrance, but it soon turned more into respect than fear.
Wanting to focus on my conversation with him, I closed my eyes and stopped chanting. Instead looking to communicate thru my thoughts. I felt like a light breathing almost growl like in my left ear and I felt a bit lightheaded.
I proceeded to thank him for being there, and laid out my requests. Then I expressed my offerings to him. I wasn't entirely sure what to expect at that point. I thought well if he accepts or declines, I would somehow know. I opened my eyes and fixed my eyes on the first thing I saw, which was the incense sticks. The middle stick had burned slower than the other 2 so it stood taller, which I took it to represent King Paimon and the other 2 were his companions. After a few seconds, no later than a minute, the middle incense burned a brighter red than the other 2, which had steady smoke lines streaming out upwards, and then the smoke of the middle stick skipped and started to swirl. It was summer time and the windows of my room were closed, so there was no draft that could've caused that to happen, and to just one stick at that instead of all 3 on top of that. I understood that he accepted.
Afterwards, I kept the agreement I drew in my top drawer. There were times where I would hear something move or drop inside my drawer, which I understood as King Paimon was looking for my attention. So I would light an incense for him to show my love.
I had asked for 3 things from King Paimon, which they admittedly were quite ambitious. He undoubtedly delievered on my first request and FAST! The other 2, not so much although they were kind of open ended so he may very well have came through in his own way.
One day, I was cleaning out my room and decided to trash a lot of things. I considered the deal done so I shredded the paper I had wrote the agreemend on. I swear that as soon as I did that, the one thing he had come thru for me on immediately unraveled within the next few days.
I am devoted to King Paimon as he has shown me his undeniable powers. I have since been unable to serve him with the same caliber because I don't have the ability to concentrate an altar space for him but I am in his gratitude every day.
I will say that every time I've summoned him since, there has been a notable difference in his presence based on the time time of day. He is much louder and more responsive in the light of day.

2021.12.01 16:37 TheRealGuyDudeman In our civilized societies we are rich. Why then are the many poor?

In our civilized societies we are rich. Why then are the many poor? Why this painful drudgery for the masses? Why, even to the best paid workman, this uncertainty for the morrow, in the midst of all the wealth inherited from the past, and in spite of the powerful means of production, which could ensure comfort to all, in return for a few hours of daily toil?
The Socialists have said it and repeated it unwearyingly. Daily they reiterate it, demonstrating it by arguments taken from all the sciences. It is because all that is necessary for production—the land, the mines, the highways, machinery, food, shelter, education, knowledge—all have been seized by the few in the course of that long story of robbery, enforced migration and wars, of ignorance and oppression, which has been the life of the human race before it had learned to subdue the forces of Nature. It is because, taking advantage of alleged rights acquired in the past, these few appropriate to-day two-thirds of the products of human labour, and then squander them in the most stupid and shameful way. It is because, having reduced the masses to a point at which they have not the means of subsistence for a month, or even for a week in advance, the few can allow the many to work, only on the condition of themselves receiving the lion's share. It is because these few prevent the remainder of men from producing the things they need, and force them to produce, not the necessaries of life for all, but whatever offers the greatest profits to the monopolists. In this is the substance of all Socialism.
Take, indeed, a civilized country. The forests which once covered it have been cleared, the marshes drained, the climate improved. It has been made habitable. The soil, which bore formerly only a coarse vegetation, is covered to-day with rich harvests. The rock-walls in the valleys are laid out in terraces and covered with vines. The wild plants, which yielded nought but acrid berries, or uneatable roots, have been transformed by generations of culture into succulent vegetables or trees covered with delicious fruits. Thousands of highways and railroads furrow the earth, and pierce the mountains. The shriek of the engine is heard in the wild gorges of the Alps, the Caucasus, and the Himalayas. The rivers have been made navigable; the coasts, carefully surveyed, are easy of access; artificial harbours, laboriously dug out and protected against the fury of the sea, afford shelter to the ships. Deep shafts have been sunk in the rocks; labyrinths of underground galleries have been dug out where coal may be raised or minerals extracted. At the crossings of the highways great cities have sprung up, and within their borders all the treasures of industry, science, and art have been accumulated.
Whole generations, that lived and died in misery, oppressed and ill-treated by their masters, and worn out by toil, have handed on this immense inheritance to our century.
For thousands of years millions of men have laboured to clear the forests, to drain the marshes, and to open up highways by land and water. Every rood of soil we cultivate in Europe has been watered by the sweat of several races of men. Every acre has its story of enforced labour, of intolerable toil, of the people's sufferings. Every mile of railway, every yard of tunnel, has received its share of human blood.
The shafts of the mine still bear on their rocky walls the marks made by the pick of the workman who toiled to excavate them. The space between each prop in the underground galleries might be marked as a miner's grave; and who can tell what each of these graves has cost, in tears, in privations, in unspeakable wretchedness to the family who depended on the scanty wage of the worker cut off in his prime by fire-damp, rock-fall, or flood?
The cities, bound together by railroads and waterways, are organisms which have lived through centuries. Dig beneath them and you find, one above another, the foundations of streets, of houses, of theatres, of public buildings. Search into their history and you will see how the civilization of the town, its industry, its special characteristics, have slowly grown and ripened through the co-operation of generations of its inhabitants before it could become what it is to-day. And even to-day, the value of each dwelling, factory, and warehouse, which has been created by the accumulated labour of the millions of workers, now dead and buried, is only maintained by the very presence and labour of legions of the men who now inhabit that special corner of the globe. Each of the atoms composing what we call the Wealth of Nations owes its value to the fact that it is a part of the great whole. What would a London dockyard or a great Paris warehouse be if they were not situated in these great centres of international commerce? What would become of our mines, our factories, our workshops, and our railways, without the immense quantities of merchandise transported every day by sea and land?
Millions of human beings have laboured to create this civilization on which we pride ourselves to-day. Other millions, scattered through the globe, labour to maintain it. Without them nothing would be left in fifty years but ruins.
There is not even a thought, or an invention, which is not common property, born of the past and the present. Thousands of inventors, known and unknown, who have died in poverty, have co-operated in the invention of each of these machines which embody the genius of man.
Thousands of writers, of poets, of scholars, have laboured to increase knowledge, to dissipate error, and to create that atmosphere of scientific thought, without which the marvels of our century could never have appeared. And these thousands of philosophers, of poets, of scholars, of inventors, have themselves been supported by the labour of past centuries. They have been upheld and nourished through life, both physically and mentally, by legions of workers and craftsmen of all sorts. They have drawn their motive force from the environment.
The genius of a Séguin, a Mayer, a Grove, has certainly done more to launch industry in new directions than all the capitalists in the world. But men of genius are themselves the children of industry as well as of science. Not until thousands of steam-engines had been working for years before all eyes, constantly transforming heat into dynamic force, and this force into sound, light, and electricity, could the insight of genius proclaim the mechanical origin and the unity of the physical forces. And if we, children of the nineteenth century, have at last grasped this idea, if we know now how to apply it, it is again because daily experience has prepared the way. The thinkers of the eighteenth century saw and declared it, but the idea remained undeveloped, because the eighteenth century had not grown up like ours, side by side with the steam-engine. Imagine the decades that might have passed while we remained in ignorance of this law, which has revolutionized modern industry, had Watt not found at Soho skilled workmen to embody his ideas in metal, bringing all the parts of his engine to perfection, so that steam, pent in a complete mechanism, and rendered more docile than a horse, more manageable than water, became at last the very soul of modern industry.
Every machine has had the same history—a long record of sleepless nights and of poverty, of disillusions and of joys, of partial improvements discovered by several generations of nameless workers, who have added to the original invention these little nothings, without which the most fertile idea would remain fruitless. More than that: every new invention is a synthesis, the resultant of innumerable inventions which have preceded it in the vast field of mechanics and industry.
Science and industry, knowledge and application, discovery and practical realization leading to new discoveries, cunning of brain and of hand, toil of mind and muscle—all work together. Each discovery, each advance, each increase in the sum of human riches, owes its being to the physical and mental travail of the past and the present.
By what right then can any one whatever appropriate the least morsel of this immense whole and say—This is mine, not yours?
It has come about, however, in the course of the ages traversed by the human race, that all that enables man to produce and to increase his power of production has been seized by the few.

2021.12.01 16:37 WienerHutGeneral She Confessed

Yoo, what's good my fellow fapstronauts. Before I tell this confession story, I just wanted to give you guys a little background on my NoFap Journey🤩
I found out about NoFap in 2019 so I was a 17y/o about to be a senior in high school (I'm 19 now🙃) and mann, when I say NoFap made my life so much more elevated, I'm talking female attraction, strength in lifting, getting more respect and pretty much every Semen Retention superpower that we all get from holding our seed.
I have so many female attraction stories that at this point, I lost count on how many I've had and if you guys are wondering how long I get my female attraction benefit after relapsing, it would be 2 weeks to a month in. ( just wanted to point that out in case you were wondering)
So its September 2021, pretty recent, anyway I signed up to go to the chiropractor every week and I pay monthy. The day I got there I saw nice lookin lady in the front desk and she processed my papers for chiropractor and after that, I was a casual customer just walking in to get adjusted every week. (Keep in mind, she's not the person who adjust me, she only works in the front desk) 2 weeks later, I had a question about the monthy pay so I called her by her real name because she had told me when I first signed up and I guess that got her attention. From that point everytime I go in to get adjusted, I would greet her and say wassup. Fast forward to November 2021, hella recent lmao, this day I got adjusted and was ready to walk out and run errands and before I walked out, the girl from the front desk asked me: "how'd your adjustment go?" and I said "it was great" and she said "oh nice, well have a great day😊" and I said "you too" and I left. The next week, I went again and she asked me the same question and I responded with the same answer but after that she asked me how old I was and I told her, "I'm 19" she's surprised and said "Ooo your young" and I was like "yuuh lol" and I left. Another week goes by and I have a cold so I lost my voice and couldn't really speak so I had to type in on my notes what I wanted to say and let her read it, she said it was cool and good to know lol. (I had to communicate by shaking my head lmao) she told me when I walked in, it was going to be a 30 min wait for me to get adjusted and I just gave her the thumbs up and sat down. 15 mins later, she ask me "you can get coffee for me if you want lol" ask a joke and we both laughed. 2 mins later I wrote on my phone "be right back" and she said "okay". I go out to peets coffee right next door and got her an iced horchata latte. I came back with her drink in my hand and handed it to her and she was surprised, she said "Omg thank you, your awesome, ILY🥺" and I started to giggle because she really said that last part as an expression. After the adjustment I was walking out and she said thank you like 4 times and I could only shake my head lmao. The next week (literally yesterday Nov 30😭) I go in and she looks at me and says "Heyyy🙂" I said "wassup" and she asked me what was the drink I got her last week was and I told her. After the adjustment she asked me again and I responded the same answer and she said "that shit was good" and I was like "yuup, you welcome" and she thanked me and I left. I thought to myself, I'll get her another one because she likes it so much, so I go to peets and I got her the drink, I come back and handed it to her and she whispers "thank you" because she was on the phone and I left. Later that day, she texted me saying
"Hey it's me, I stole your number lol, your awesome. you didn't have to bring me anything. I hella appreciate it tho, I feel like shit today💜 if you were only older and I was single😩🤐"
After she texted me that, I texted her that I liked her too throughout the whole 2 months of knowing her and it was unfortunate she has a man and im younger than her.
She then texted me "yea, things happen for a reason but I have your number n you have mine. We can be good friends. I'm moving in a few months out of state so we definitely need to stay in touch. It's been something about you since I met you that I liked. It's your vibe, your hella chill."
Ima just leave it at that my fellow fapstronauts, y'all can imagine the rest.
So yeaaa, thats the confession folks, hope you enjoyed reading that, stay on your purpose and spit some game🤞🏼🖖🏽💯

2021.12.01 16:37 NoOneNotYou What exactly is Call of the Mastodon?

I ordered this cd (haven't heard it yet) and I was confused and thought it was the EP they released before Remission and now I remember it was called Lifesblood and I remember seeing it in Relapse records magazine which I used to get because I loved that label back in the 90s/00's.
The wiki version of this one is confusing. Are these re-recordings or just remastered versions of that EP and this demo called "Slick Leg?" Then Brent makes it more confusing saying it's the first album and wiki is listing it as a compilation album which I guess makes sense. I have no idea why I'm just now ordering this now but I am.

2021.12.01 16:37 StableRare Comments on the Atomic Swap Bounty Dispute

Usually I do not comment on these things, but I am very disheartened by the way elizabetherum was treated by the community with respect to the bounty for the first Ethereum-Monero atomic swap. She clearly completed the bounty requirements (a project she started without incentive) and has been very professional and charitable in all her communications. She was encouraged by this community to apply for a bounty. Then a clearly malicious and dishonest individual and his friend (who I will not name since he does not deserve any credit, you can check the messages on the bounty channel if interested) sends a submission which clearly is not an atomic swap or useful to the community in any way, bullies and harasses Elizabethereum and then people entertain his malicious BS until this new dev to our community does not want the bounty or to be part of this community anymore.
Personally, I will send her the XMR for the bounty myself since she deserves it if it is not given to her. Regardless, we should not be treating clearly malicious actors who are of no value to the community on par and just trying to blatantly scam a bounty with non-confirming code and bullying tactics, with new devs who are bringing real innovation organically to this community. If this is how we treat those with talent and enthusiasm who are trying to contribute to the Monero community, then this project is doomed. A decentralized project is only as strong as its community.
